This series of paintings was a fun diversion from the tedious and time consuming realism I paint. The brushes are the by-product of 28 years of having a scenic art studio where, after the long life span of a brush as a brush, they are used to stir paints and mix colors. I have kept hundreds of these brushes and savor them for their history and transformation into a piece of art themselves. Each brush has had a long life and proudly wears the paint of wonderful projects and the touch of many hands.
